With its position in the middle of the Baltic, it is no chance that Gotland has been a meeting place for people down the ages. Since time immemorial, many crucial decisions have been made here. As from April 2007, Gotland is reinforcing its meeting tradition by offering one of Europe’s most modern arenas for meetings between people, Wisby Strand Congress & Event, with the sea as its neighbour to the west and the mediaeval city centre to the east. In addition the island offers a large number of meeting facilities of varying sizes for up to 300 participants. Gotland also has plenty of hotels and other accommodation with their own meeting facilities.
