Ants in your pants?
Gotland is the perfect destination for people that can’t sit still. If the weather doesn’t allow a trip to the beach, there’s always something fun to do. The Kanonen activity centre has a bowling hall, laserdome and much more. Why not try, for example, indoor crazy golf, with its nine holes?
Smart, fast and brave? Challenge your family and friends in the Boda Borg adventure centre. Put your strength and brain to the test in a series of puzzling rooms.
Even when the sun is shining, there are plenty of other things to drag you away from the beach. Mix Ranch in Stenkyrka is a small adventure centre. Football golf and multi-activities, including cart-building and axe-throwing are two of the specialities. And if you miss the beach too much, you can always take a dip in one of the two heated pools.

A museum for everyone
The Gotland County Museum offers exhibitions for all the family, particularly slightly older children. The permanent exhibition at the museum tells all about Gotland’s history. Don’t miss the exhibition about the world’s biggest Viking silver treasure, or the one about Gotland’s long history. You knew, of course, that Gotland was once on the Equator? But that was quite some time ago, around 400 million years ago in fact. Want to know more? Then make sure you visit the Gotlandium exhibition at the County Museum – 430 million years of Gotland!
Fenomenalen, the County Museum’s science and technology section, offers hands-on activities. Take a look into the future and test how modern technology works. How much does electricity cost? At the Kontakt exhibition, you find the answer to this and many other questions. Perhaps you’d like to help solve a historical mystery? In that case Kalla Spår might be something for you? Use modern technology to solve medieval mysteries. The exhibition is aimed at everyone aged ten and above.
So, in other words, Gotland offers something for all the family and for all weathers. This is just a selection of what Gotland has to offer. Get more fun tips and ideas by contacting the Tourist Information Office in Visby (+46 (0)498-20 17 00).
